Fair Trade Retailer Uneeka Finds the Perfect New.home

Cornwall-based retailer Uneeka is expanding with the opening of a new, furniture showroom in City Road Truro.

Founded in 2005 by Jodi Skelton and John Tornabene, Uneeka specialise in contemporary and stylish products that have been ethically sourced from around the world.

On Friday 30th April 2010 the showroom, Uneeka.home will open in Princess Chula House on City Road, Truro, the former St John’s Ambulance building which has been extensively developed for Uneeka.

The company currently has a shop in Padstow and two in Lemon Street Market in Truro. Having launched a new website only last year Uneeka.home will mark another positive step forward for the young company as Jodi Skelton explains:

“We’ve worked hard over recent years to source the best possible products for our customers and we have grown organically as a business. With the launch of Uneeka.home we hope to give these beautiful products room to breathe in an environment where customers can browse comfortably, whilst seeing how the furniture could enhance their homes.”

As well as furniture, Uneeka.home will sell home accents such as carefully selected rugs, soft furnishings and lighting. All of Uneeka’s products are carefully sourced using strict ethical policy guidelines.

To celebrate the opening of Uneeka.home the company is offering a special discount of 10% to customers visiting over Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday 30th April – Monday 3rd May).

Uneeka’s lifestyle shop selling gifts, jewellery and fashion accessories will remain in Lemon St Market until later this summer when it will move to an exciting new home on Boscawen Street in the heart of Truro. The Uneeka team certainly like to keep themselves busy!
