If you are wondering what an earth you should do this weekend and like us have a hankering for vintage and tea, then we have got a treat in store for you, whether you are in the Northwest or the Southwest.
Starting in the Northwest and kicking off the week long Guild City Festival in Preston, is the Vintage Guild Weekend. It will celebrate of all things Northern from Guild years gone by. From dance, sing and swing to live arts, craft and fashion workshops, visitors will be wowed by the range of throw back entertainment, activities and memorabilia on show.
Moving down the country to Plymouth and to the Vintage Interior Design Fayre at the Devonport Guildhall. Saturday sees the Devonport Guildhall throw open its doors for a interior design fayre with a vintage twist! If you enjoy browsing beautiful, bespoke and vintage goodies, then get down to the Devonport Guildhall for 10am sharp.
And finally to our hometown of Falmouth. This Sunday sees the Gyllyngdune Tea Festival (you may remember we enjoyed this little tea celebration last year). If you love tea then you will be in heaven with the range of tea-related treats they have planned, including tea talks, tea dances, tea traders and exhibitions, tea ladies on tour, tea tales from the Travelling Tales Man and tea workshops. And if that wasn’t enough then the tea fun continues into the evening with tea cocktails accompanied with a side of cabaret.
So what are you waiting for? Pick out your best vintage dress or suit, pin a victory roll in your hair and dust off your dancing shoes.
